Since 1946, the JCNWJ has served Washington, NJ and the surrounding communities in Warren, Hunterdon, and Morris Counties. We are located at 115 Youmans Avenue in Washington, close to the intersection of Routes 31 and 57. The temple building is handicap-accessible.
See our Directions Page for a map of where we are located and directions to reach us.
The JCNWJ is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism. The JCNWJ welcomes individuals, couples (including interfaith), and families into the congregation. Anyone interested in becoming a member should reach out to us at (908) 689-0762 or email jcnwj@outlook.com. You can also find forms and information on the Membership Page. Services are typically held twice per month, sometimes Friday evening and sometimes Saturday morning. Special events add to the richness of the temple life, along with our Chaverim, Community B’yachad, and Torah Study programs. The temple utilizes the Google JCNWJ Combined Calendar, which includes dates and times for Hebrew School, Services, Holidays, Meetings, and more.
There is a tuition-free Hebrew School for children of members in good standing. In July 2015, Rabbi Andy Dubin was welcomed to the temple’s community as the new rabbi, following Rabbi Mary Zamore, who served for two years following Rabbi Emerita Ellen Lewis, who served as the temple’s spiritual leader from July 1994 through June 2013. For more about Rabbi Dr. Dubin, visit the Rabbi’s Page. |
