Purim at the JCNWJ 2012



 The traditional reading of the Megillah, the story of Queen Esther and her brother Mordechai and their bravery, is the highlight of Purim at the Jewish Center of Northwest Jersey. Costumes, noisemakers and the fun and fund-raising carnival which follow are all part of the celebration. Additionally, the Sunday School children make Hamentashen, the symbol of the evil Hamen.

Again this year, a group of children and adults teamed up to present a special Purim Spiel, an alternate telling of the story of Purim. This year the Wizard of Peroz provided the theme for Please enjoy the video (in two parts) of this incredible program of song, dance and theatrics.
